A storm water conveyance system providing alternative water treatment for the Fallon Gateway Commercial and Retail Center. Designed to absorb low flows or carry run-off from heavy rains to storm sewer inlets or directly to surface waters the water quality features utilizes and mix of native and non-native deep-rooted grasses for infiltration and reduced maintenance. Transitional plant material such as California native shrubs and grasses were proposed for the slopes where the water quality feature interfaces with the ornamental plant material of the Commercial and Retail Center.
